Subscription Module in Dynamics 365 Sales: Seamless Automation and Integration
In this project, we developed a robust solution that automates subscription management from order to invoicing. Through integration between Dynamics 365 Sales, Power Platform, and Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations, the solution provides complete control and efficiency throughout the entire subscription lifecycle.
By using Dataverse as a unified platform for data flow and advanced integration tools like Power Automate and .NET plugins, the solution provides:
Automated Customer Creation: When a customer purchases a subscription in the webshop, the customer is automatically created in Dynamics 365 Sales with all relevant details through the Brønnøysund Register Centre's API.
Creation and Management of Subscriptions: Subscriptions are automatically generated in Dynamics 365 Sales and linked to the customer for further processing.
Automated Order and Invoicing Workflow: The solution integrates with Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations to generate invoices without manual processes.
Scalable Integration: Seamless integration between the webshop, Dynamics 365 Sales, and Finance & Operations ensures stable operations and scalability for growth.

Our client needed a solution to connect their webshop directly to the Dynamics 365 platform. The goal was to reduce manual workload and provide a comprehensive solution that ensures customers and subscriptions are handled seamlessly and efficiently, from purchase to invoicing.
SCOPE
The project included setting up an integration solution between the webshop and Dynamics 365 Sales, with automatic synchronization of customer data and subscriptions. The subscriptions were then integrated with Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations for invoicing. The solution was designed to ensure accuracy, reduce manual processes, and increase efficiency throughout the entire value chain.
SOLUTION
Our solution automated the entire process from the customer purchasing a subscription in the webshop to invoicing in Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations. Using Power Automate and Dataverse, data was seamlessly transferred, while .NET plugins managed customized business logic. The result is a robust solution that improves workflows, increases efficiency, and significantly reduces manual tasks.
