Our project involved integrating Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement (CE) with Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O). The goal was to ensure seamless data flow between customer management and the financial system, enabling information to be shared efficiently across business processes. The integration provides real-time insights into critical customer data, strengthening decision-making and streamlining workflow from prospecting to invoicing.

Dynamics 365 Integration: Efficient Management of Prospects and Customer Information
In this project, we addressed the need for an integrated solution for seamless data flow between Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement (CE) and Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O). The focus was on efficient management and conversion of prospects from CE to customers in F&O, with real-time control of critical financial data and support for multiple legal entities.
By implementing Microsoft Dataverse and virtual entities in F&O, we established a robust integration solution that enables:
- Automatic synchronization of prospects: Transfer prospects from CE to F&O with accurate and up-to-date information.
- Real-time control of financial data: Ensure that key financial metrics are accessible in CE to support well-informed decisions in the sales process.
- Synchronization of opportunities across legal entities: Effectively share and update opportunities across multiple companies in F&O with real-time data flow, eliminating delays and manual processes.
This solution enhances both workflows and decision-making processes, providing the organization with comprehensive and up-to-date insights into customer and financial data, significantly strengthening sales and financial operations.

OVERVIEW
Our client needed an integrated solution that could unify customer data from Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement (CE) with financial processes in Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O). The goal was to achieve a comprehensive view of the customer journey, from the first contact to final invoicing, without the need for manual data transfer or complex workflows. We developed a solution that provides the client with real-time insights and a more efficient and reliable workflow.
SCOPE
The project included customizations to ensure seamless data flow between CE and F&O, as well as the ability to handle specific business rules and the client's unique requirements. By using Microsoft Dataverse as a shared platform and virtual entities in F&O, the client can now share data across departments and systems. This provides both the finance and sales departments with quick access to updated information, enhancing collaboration and making it easier to make decisions based on real-time data.
SOLUTION
Our solution has streamlined the client's operations by automating the data flow between CE and F&O. The sales department can now easily access prospects, customers, and opportunity data flowing seamlessly through the system, providing a comprehensive view of all stages in the customer journey. Meanwhile, the finance department receives an updated overview of customer relationships in F&O. The result is a significant reduction in manual tasks and an improved customer experience, as teams can quickly respond to inquiries and deliver more personalized services.
